Great Guide to Discipleship
All the information you need to get into Bible study groups and disciple everyone in the group.
The book is easy to read and sets forth some good information and specific methods to follow to begin discipling others. The book encourages us to consider how Jesus gives us, by his own example, a way to disciple.
This follow up to Greg's first book is right on. It's easy to understand and offers practical ways for how to see the Kingdom of God and join Jesus on his mission by making disciples who make more disciples. This book is not just for church leaders....it's for everyone!
Had read his other book "Joining Jesus on His Mission" This book is a welcome addition as it really helps to spread the good news to others so they too will continue on in their witness
Greg Finke has done it again! He’s taken an incredibly intimidating topic (how to make disciples) and made it very simple.
We’ve used this book with an entire congregation, as well as multiple smaller groups, as a launching point for intentional disciple-making.
It helps to have already read his first book, Joining Jesus on His Mission, but that’s not required, as he summarizes that teaching in the first part of this book.
If you are serious about following Jesus and showing others how to do the same, you should read this book.
If you have been intimidated by the thought of approaching someone and asking them to let you disciple them, this will give you the framework and the courage to step out in faith and get started.

The value of this book--and Greg's gift in both of his works--is not in telling me things I didn't know as much as stating the things I already knew in a way that makes them clearly and straightforwardly applicable to "how do I disciple someone." Whether you're a pastor or another type of Jesus follower, I'm confident this book will give you the mental framework and the language to clearly express what is a disciple. But that's just part one! Part two is the thing I think has been missing from the "discipling" conversation (at least for me). It's a step by step process of how to actually do this. It's basically in outline form, and even includes some sample conversations for specifically how to bring someone else into a discipling relationship. You don't even have to "know what to say" because it's literally right there for you! It really doesn't get any more simple than this!
